SID is a computer factory - company member of Sharp Group. Short of  Sharp, Inepar and Dataservice companies. Joint-venture among these companies to create SID when the Brazilian government decided to create and build a protected marked only  for national computers. That time was permitted only to be bought by brazilian consumers ours computers produced by the five authorized Brazilian computer manufactures ( SID-IBM, COBRA_National, EDISA-HP, SISCO and LABO-Nixdorf ).

The government created one special entity first named CAPRE and late replaced  it by SEI - Special Secretary for Information technology, to manage and keep in control that restricted market. Also this entity was responsible to publish the brazilian computers policy.

That time was not easy find employees into the market with the computer technical background required. I had a good luck again. The Sharp decided took me and moved me from the BA-1000 division to start to working with mid-range computers named SID-5000 computer family into the SID company.  The activities to be done basically was related with the support analyst position. The skills required were the knowledge and experience with  applications and programming activities.

I participated again in several internal and external courses sponsored by SID to learn about the operating system MTVS (Multi-task-Virtual-Storage), PL-5000 assembly language (Sub-set of  IBM PL-360 language), Cobol ANSI-74 compiler and language,  Logol (sub-set of  Algol language) and Clio languages (To create screen sections for dumb SID terminals). The training has included also all utilities and the database management system used for SID-5000 family. Late I got the position of Support of our Internal Support team.

Late I had opportunity to work at the project that created the Data Entry Operating System. This was specialized operating system designed to BRADESCO bank. This bank bought part of the SID company and hundred of SID-5800 machines were bought after that to be installed at the special Bradesco branches. In these backward areas all documents from the daily movements of all branches were typed to produce magnetical tapes (2400 feet) to be feed into main-frame Bradesco systems. Also, I participated at the Caixa Federal Economica (government bank) Project . This second project was similar with Bradesco project.
