- Atlantis
Administração Ltda was an holding
company for a group of retail
market of womem fashion and surf-wear.
This group has had the CEO Mr. Peter Simon, and had CANTÃO,
REDLEY and C4 chain of shops
located at Shopping Centers
and also some special streets
of the Rio de Janeiro City.
Also one shoe factory
named IRWIN
was also part of the group.
- I
have started work with this group doing training about Project
Management. Then they invited me to be
an IT Manager for
the group.

- The
fashion environment was a very dynamic and creative and the IT environment
was lacking a lot of resources and tasks to do. These were the reasons
why I accepted the invitation. My project included the installation
of computers and local area network environment in all companies.
I Hired and contracted IT people to give help
desk, training, support and develop some special applications.
I created small IT teams working on each company and one IT group
centralized at the holding company supporting the small teams. I hired
also hardware technician associates because we decided to buy computer
parts and to assembly them by ourselves to reduce cost of the computers.

- For
accounting, financial, human resources and
fixed asset we bought application packages
from the market after one benchmark process. For the differential applications
related with inventory control
of the chain of shops Cantao, Redley and C4 we developed the application
internally, using C-language and
C-TREE for access
method (to create the applications databases) over Novell
Netware 3.11 platform.
